Santander to Lagos (the Portugese one) on a bike...

Picture
This tells you a bit more about what we are up to, more importantly, to sponsor us or donate to our charities head to the CHARITIES page and follow the links - thanks!

Following on from the MK Dons Lands End to John O'Groats challenge (which raised over £20k for Help the Heroes and the MK Dons SET), the next cycling adventure begins on Sunday August 19th 2012.  We'll be cycling for four different charities, so please, have a look at "The Charities" page, and if you can, follow the links to donate to all of them, if not, pick the one you identify with the most and please give generously.

We've learned our lesson, cycling 1,000 miles in the UK in June is cold, wet and thoroughly miserable so this time we are being much more sensible about the whole thing and cycling through Spain and Portugal in the height of summer.

The route starts in Santander and will pass through the Picos de Europa, through Spain, into Portugal and over Monchique before finishing in the Algarve (hopefully) a week and 800 miles later.

It's an intrepid (by turns bald, chunky, neckless and dwarfish) team, all cheered on (and up) by our equally bald RV driver and chef (who will no doubt tire of the smell and personal hygiene habits of the riders within a few days).

As we say, it's all for good causes (everyone is riding for different charities), so please, please, please find time and a few pennies to help those we've decided to help.  Every penny you give will go to the charities, we're paying expenses ourselves.  Links to our justgiving pages are within the "About the Team" and "The Charities" sections of this site.
