David Pearson
Dave is a committed father, husband, occsional cyclist, clearly bald and a bit overweight and very, very nervous about the whole thing - hoping the rest of the guys will let him hang on at the back!
Dave runs a marketing business (www.filmology.co.uk) which specialises in using cinema tickets and films to promote businesses and products.
Dave needs to thank his wife Natalie, children Ben and Jack and his business for letting him do this. Please help support the Helen and Douglas House charity (see charity page) by sponsoring him here.

Mike Verwoert
Mike is Dad to Ella and Millan. Ella is Mike's inspiration for our epic journey. His desire to see a cure for type one Diabetes is matched only by his pride in the way Ella deals with the condition. Diagnosed with type one Diabetes before her first birthday Ella checks her blood sugar levels and injects herself throughout every day without a fuss. When contemplating cycling hundreds of miles in the searing heat Mikes view is "If Ella can inject herself up to ten times a day then the least I can do is ride a few miles in the sun....'"

Dominic Maxwell
Dom is driver, chef,
physio, doctor, all round good egg and the eye candy for this trip.
Unfortunately, he only has the skills for around 20% of those functions so
let’s hope one of these guys can knock up a paella whilst in the saddle!
As we are forsaking hotel rooms for an RV on this trip it's Dom's unenviable task to keep us all plied with enough carbs, fluids and chamois cream to keep us going until the end. “Failing that, something to keep the sun off should do it”
Dom runs his own sales and marketing business www.echopartners.co.uk; but hasn’t actually run anywhere (let alone cycled) for many years. He is therefore the obvious choice to look after a bunch of illiterate elite athletes for 10 days in the blazing Iberian sun. Wish us luck.
Dom is spreading any sponsorship accross all charities, click on his picture to support him.

Steve Southwood
Steve works for Credit Suisse in the City of London, but is regularly seen riding out to Box Hill or further afield in his spare time.
Steve's been cycling for a number fof years and the rest of us find his high-gear grinding a little intimidating if we're honest.
Steve's going to be meeting his other half Erika out in Spain after the ride so we've promised to try to keep him in one piece.

Tony Brearley
Tony divides his time between cycling, snowboarding, working and mincing around the coolest places in London either with clients or friends.
While very fit (he also managed Land's End to John O'Groats), he's also very small and quite what the locals will make of a small boy riding on the back of our little peloton on a tricycle remains to be seen.
